How did a former Audi dealership technician end up owning one of the classiest, most technologically advanced automotive repair shops in the Southwest?
The only way possible. Ryan Blair started from the bottom and worked his way up to the top one day at a time. At 1,100 square feet, his first shop was a storage unit that had a single lift and barely enough room to let out a fart. These days Ryan and the staff at Blair Automotive have the pleasure of working out of an 18,000 square foot facility in Carrolton, Texas. His "if you build, they will come" mentality has proven to be spot on. He built it, and the customers are coming from as far away as Louisiana to have their vehicles serviced by Blair and his staff of professionals.
For years Ryan struggled with deciding whether or not he wanted to go back to school or get into real estate. Eventually he decided to leverage the knowledge that he had accumulated over the years to build something different. That something manifested itself into a truly unique automotive experience. And that is exactly what you get at Blair Automotive. At one point, Ryan was spending more money on tools and training his staff than he actually made. But he understood that if he continued to reinvest earnings back into his dream business, it would eventually pay off.
In 2007, Ryan graduated from UTI as well as the Audi Academy at the top of his class, and with the prestigious rank of Master Guild Technician. This is Audi's highest honor and probably the equivalent to a Medal of Honor. Ryan's staff are also Audi certified technicians and are capable of working on just about any type of automobile. Not just Volkswagen's and Audi's. If you are ever in need of upgrades or repairs, make sure you check Blair out. Tell them the Bratburners sent you.
